Braco Castle Gardens

Set on a south‑facing slope with sweeping views across parkland to the Ochil Hills, Braco combines an 18th‑century walled garden with extensive landscaped grounds that have been expanded and replanted over the last 35 years. The garden is notable for its spectacular displays of spring bulbs — snowdrops, crocuses, and daffodils — followed by rhododendrons and azaleas that flower over a long season. Specimen trees and shrubs from around the world provide interest throughout the year: the exotic flame tree Embothrium flowers in June, the silky tassel tree Hoheria in August, and the beautiful Eucryphia in September, while autumn brings rich colour from acers and other deciduous trees. It is a garden that has evolved gently over centuries, blending historic structure with vibrant, season‑long planting.
